County Line of Succession Act 2025
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the State of Firestone in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1.
This bill may be known as the “County Line of Succession Act 2025”.
SEC. 2.
(a) In the event that, for any reason, including but not limited to resignation, incapacity, removal from office, or any other form of vacancy, there is no County Executive capable of performing the duties of the Office of County Executive of Stapleton County, the individual highest on the following line of succession, who is fully eligible and willing to serve, shall immediately assume the office and duties of the County Executive:
I. Chairman of the Stapleton County Council
SEC. 3.
(a) Should the Chairman of the Stapleton County Council decline or be unable to assume the position, the Governor of the State of Firestone shall be required to call a special election to fill the vacancy in accordance with applicable state law and procedure.
SEC. 4.
This Act shall be effective upon completion of the constitutionally required process.
SEC. 5.
Should any part of this Act be struck down or declared unenforceable, then that part of the Act shall be considered severed from this Act, and the rest shall remain in full force.
