AN ACT
Grenade Abuse Suppression Act (GAS Act)
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the State of Firestone in Congress assembled,
§1. SHORT TITLE
This Act may be also be known as the “GAS Act” and may be cited as such.
§2. DEFINITIONS
(a) For the purposes of this Act, the “Criminal Code” (or simply referred to as “FCC”), as described by the Criminal Code Revision Act (R), shall be defined as: Firestone Criminal Code
§3. TACTICAL DEVICE CONTROL
(a) Chapter 2, §15 of the Firestone Criminal Code shall be created, titled “§15 - Aggravated Deployment of a Tactical Device” and shall read as follows:
(a) The act of aggravated deployment of a tactical device shall be recognized as an unlawful criminal offense within the State of Firestone.
(a1) Aggravated deployment of a tactical device shall be defined as the act of willfully deploying, throwing, or discharging any tear gas grenade, flashbang, smoke grenade, or similar device into a group of individuals or in close proximity to another person in a manner that poses a risk of harm, disorientation, or panic.
(b) Law enforcement personnel and the Firestone National Guard shall be exempt when acting within the scope of their official duties from subsection (a).
(b) Chapter 2, §15 of the Firestone Criminal Code shall be a Class B Felony, and is punishable by a jail time up to 800 seconds.
§4. ENACTMENT
This Legislation shall go into effect upon the completion of the constitutionally required processes.
§5. SEVERABILITY
Should any part of this Legislation be struck down and/or declared unenforceable, then that part shall be severed with the rest remaining in full force and effect unless all is struck down and/or declared unenforceable.
