High Speeds Act

Preamble: To stop the punishment of new vehicles, fix some exemptions and prepapre for new speed limits so that new players aren’t hindered and hindering.


Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the State of Firestone in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE

(a) This bill may be known as “Higher Speeds Act”.

SECTION 2. EFFECTIVENESS

(a) This Act shall be effective immediately.

SECTION 3. SEVERABILITY

(a) Should any part of this Act be struck down or declared unenforceable, then that part of the Act shall be considered severed from this Act, and the rest shall remain in full force.

SECTION 4. DEFINITIONS

(a) The “Firestone Traffic Revision Act” shall be defined as this.

SECTION 5. SPEED AMENDMENTS

(a) Chapter 1, Section 14, Subsection 1 of the Firestone Traffic Revision Act currently states:

Speeding shall be an illegal infraction in Firestone. Speeding shall be defined as: “driving or operating a vehicle faster than the speed limit”

(b) Chapter 1, Section 14, Subsection 1 of the Firestone Traffic Revision Act shall be amended to state:

Speeding shall be an illegal infraction in Firestone. Speeding shall be defined as: “driving or operating a vehicle at or more than 6 studs/second faster than the speed limit”.

(c) Chapter 1, Section 14, Subsection 6 of the Firestone Traffic Revision Act shall be nullified.

SECTION 6. HINDERING AMENDMENTS

(a) Chapter 2, Section 5, Subsection 3 of the Firestone Traffic Revision Act shall be amended to state:

“The Department of Public Works and the Department of Transportation shall be exempt from Hindering while sweeping the street, snowplowing the street, or towing a vehicle. While engaging in any of the previously mentioned actions they shall be permitted to go as slow as they wish without repercussions.”

(b) Chapter 2, Section 5, Subsection 4 of the Firestone Traffic Revision Act shall be amended to state:

All vehicles that are unable to go fast enough to not count as Hindering but are able to go at 30 s/s lower than the speed limit shall be exempt from Hindering as long as they remain in the rightmost lane on the road in question. All vehicles/bicycles that are unable to go fast enough to meet the exemption requirement and not count as Hindering shall not be authorised to use the road in question, unless it is a bicycle (which are still limited according to chapter 6 § 3).”
