§1. TITLE
- This act shall be known as the "Money Counterfeiting Act (MCA)” and may be cited as such.
§2. DEFINITIONS
- The Firestone Criminal Code (FCC) shall refer to here.
§3. PURPOSE
- This act is to establish counterfeiting as a crime within the State of Firestone in order to protect the legitimacy of the Firestone currency.
§4. POSSESSING OR CONTROLLING A COUNTERFEITING DEVICE
- FCC 4 §30 shall be created, titled “Possessing or controlling a counterfeiting device”, and state: “(a) The act of possessing or controlling a counterfeiting device shall be recognised as an unlawful criminal offence within the State of Firestone.
- (b) A person commits the act of possessing or controlling a counterfeiting device when they have in their possession (including item storage) or control any device capable of the unauthorised reproduction or production of currency.
- (b1) Control over a device includes any activation or maintenance of the device and any facilitation or enablement of the device. In this section, control does not need to be exclusive and any former control is treated as if it persists.
- (c) In this section, currency includes the Firestone Dollar and dirty money.”
- FCC 4 §30 shall be codified as a Class C Felony carrying a jail time of 600 seconds.
§5. ENFORCEMENT
- This act shall be enforced by all relevant parties.
§6 SEVERABILITY
- Should any part of this act be struck down and/or declared unenforceable, the rest of the act will remain in effect unless also struck down and/or declared unenforceable.
