Some ideas to help update and expand the DoH’s divisional attractiveness, capabilities and overall infrastructure. I feel there should be some difference between SCFD & DOH in terms of equipment to add some variety
In terms of Emergency Medical Services, SCFD and DOH have exactly the same capabilities in the forms of Basic Life Support (EMT-B) and Advanced Life Support (EMT-P / CCEMTP) ambulances (BLS being blue, ALS being white for DOH).
A unique thing DOH has got is a Paramedic flycar, currently utilized by the health secretary, departmental administration, chief of staff, divisional directors & assistant directors, supervisors, critical care paramedics and paramedics. Paramedics within the department have recently been given the option to attain their Rapid Response Unit certification allowing them to utilize this vehicle. There are alot of roles attached to a single car that can only be spawned in once !
I think an update to the capabilities of SCMS and diversification between the two departments respective EMS capabilities should be made. Ideas for this could be;
- A dedicated supervisor / departmental command vehicle - allows supervisors to attend larger incidents without utilizing the departments only flycar or one of the departments 2 ambulances. This should be just a reskinned vehicle
- Additional Flycar / dedicated Critical Care vehicle- Allows for the delivery of Critical Care to patients out of hospital without utilizing the Paramedic based flycar or one of the 2 frontline ambulances. This should just be another reskinned car. Photo for show
- An MCI bus - for those major incidents ingame with more than 5 patients. Patients can be treated roadside and then transferred onto a much larger transport vehicle without the need to ferry large amounts of patients back and forth one at a time.
